Location: Bethlehem, PA  
Employment Type: Full-Time 
Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000 (Depending on Experience) 

Overview: Steel Pixel Studios, a forward-thinking production company, is in search of a skilled Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor to join our team in Bethlehem, PA. This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for visual storytelling, a strong background in motion graphics and video editing, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create and execute high-quality motion graphic designs from concept to completion. 
  • Lead video editing projects from initial idea through to final product, showcasing strong narrative skills. 
  • Expertly use Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro for creating visually stunning content. 
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting, managing deadlines and project requirements efficiently. 
  • Adapt to a fast-paced work environment, handling multiple projects with precision. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in motion graphics and video editing. 

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in motion graphics and video editing, or a strong portfolio/reel demonstrating equivalent skills. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. 
  • Solid computer skills with knowledge of other Adobe applications (like Photoshop, Illustrator) being a plus. 
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities. 
  • Capacity to take complete ownership of projects from conception to finalization. 
  • Must be able to commute to Bethlehem, PA. 

Bonus Experience: 

  • On-set production experience, providing a practical understanding of the filming process. 
  • Familiarity with remote workflows, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness. 
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve, adding versatility in color grading and editing.

  • Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro to edit video content, incorporating creative storytelling techniques. 
  • Collaborate with the production team to understand project requirements and deliver on creative goals. 
  • Manage multiple editing assignments in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines. 
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in video editing and storytelling. 

Qualifications:

This role requires national travel for diverse projects, the ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced team, and a commitment to high-quality project turnaround. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize Sony cinema cameras for high-quality video production. 
  • Travel extensively across the country for filming. 
  • Set up and manage lighting and sound equipment for optimal production quality. 
  • Collaborate within a team to meet project deadlines and creative goals. 
  • Manage and deliver projects promptly while maintaining high standards. 
  • Direct interviews, follow scripts, and ask relevant questions. 
  • Independently handle scheduling and responsibilities with reliability. 
  • Adhere to specific brand guidelines set forth by clients, ensuring consistency and compliance in all video content. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience with mirrorless, DSLR, and cinema cameras on the Sony platform. 
  • Willingness to travel nationally for video projects. 
  • Skilled in lighting and sound setup. 
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced setting. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. 
  • Experience in directing interviews and following scripts. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and set up rigging equipment. 
  • Valid passport and a clear driving record. 
  • Based in or near Bethlehem, PA.
